Singer. He was the lead male vocalist for "Guy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians" from 1940 to 1977. He left the band in 1942 after he was drafted into the service. He returned in 1945 after receiving the purple heart. He married Guy Lombardo's younger sister Elaine, who died in 1999. Kenny Gardner became known as "The Voice Of The Royal Canadians" and was responsible for many of the bands later hits including "Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think)" and "Frankie And Johnny". He appeared on Guy's last charted recording, "Get Out Those Old Records" which was written by Carmen Lombardo, and was a duet between himself and Carmen. He died in his sleep at his Plandome, Long Island home. He was 89 years old. (bio by: Joe Enroughty)
