US Army AAF, WW II. 8th Air Force. KIA. A gunner in a B-17. He was shot down somewhere over Germany. His remains weren't returned to the U.S. until late in 1948, when funeral services were held on Dec 6.

His wife was named Dorothy Louise (Martin) and had lived in Capitol Heights, Md.

He was the son of Mr. & Mrs Calvin M. Bladen, also of Capitol Heights, Md.

His brothers were Lloyd A. and Kenneth A. Bladen.

Prior to entering the service, he was an auditor with the Social Security Board. A graduate of Maryland Park High School and the Strayer Business College as it was known then but today is now called Strayer University.
