Vernon Stanton "Stan" Ash, age 53, a great father and husband, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008, at Mt. Carmel West. Employed with Hy-Tek Material Handling for 20 years. An avid hunter who enjoyed working on cars. Preceded in death by parents Vernon and Vena Ash, grandmother Alta. brother-in-law Charles Staley. Survived by wife of 24 years, Cynthia; children, Jeff Moore, Vernon "Stan" Ash Jr. and DeAnna Ash; grandchildren, Jeffie and Destiny; sisters, Barbara (Buddy) Shomber and Sue Staley; numerous other family and friends. Special thanks to Mt. Carmel Hospice. Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church, 2745 W. Broad St., Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be held 11 a.m. Friday.
