Entertainer. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, she was discovered at a local music hall by veteran performer Otis Harlan, who invited her to join his vaudeville act. She later formed a popular song-and-dance duet with her husband, Jack Arnold. An excellent dancer and skilled comedienne, the sleek, sultry Beaumont went on to play vamps and sophisticated "other women" on the Broadway stage, notably her co-starring role in the hit musical "The Gingham Girl" (1922). Her other theatre credits include "The Lady in Red" (1919), "The Magic Melody" (1919), "June Love" (1921), "Bombo" (1921), and "Polly of Hollywood" (1927). Sidelined by a back injury in 1928, Beaumont moved to Los Angeles and appeared in one film, "The Lightning Warrior" (1931), before declining health forced her retirement from show business. She died of a heart attack at 45.
