Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Brown were held today at 2 p.m. at the Allo Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Byron Hatch of the First Methodist Church officiating. Buriel was made in Lakeview Cemetery. (Escanaba, MI)
Pall bearers were Carl Sawyer, Ted Baldwin, Kenneth Christensen, Harvey Germanson, John Bartlett and Harvey Gasman.
During the services "In the Garden" and "Still, Still With Thee" were sung by Mrs. Eugene Hebert. She was accompanied by Mrs. Clovis Colvin.
Out of town relatives attending the services were D. R. Haring, Traverse City, Mich.; Mr. & Mrs. Heino K. Anderson, Kenton, Mich.; Don Anderson, Appleton, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Haring, Fond du Lac, Wis.;, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Irving Sharp, Vernon Haring and Mr. and Mrs. James Balland, all of Marquette.

MRS. BROWN, 88, TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Flora A. Brown, 904 S. 15th St., widely known and highly respected resident of Escanaba (MI) died at 12:25 a.m. today at the family home. She was 88.
Mrs. Brown, who had been an invalid the past eight years, maintained a keen interest in home and community affairs up to the time her condition became critical and her courage in the face of her long illness was an inspiration to those who knew her.
The widow of William L. Brown who died Aug. 5, 1927, she was born Dec. 15, 1865, in Beaver Dam, Wis. She came to Escanaba when she was a girl of 14 and lived here continuously since that time.
She was a devout member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Hazel Brown and Miss Lura Brown of Escanaba, one sister Mrs. Heino K. Anderson (Lulu) of Kenton, Mich and two brothers, D. R. Haring , Traverse City, Mich., and N.C. Haring of Milwaukee.
The body was taken to the Allo Funeral Home where friends may call beginning at 3 p.m., Thursday. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Byron Hatch, First Methodist pastor, will fooiciate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
