Two of the Jessie Lincoln/Warren Beckwith children, last of the Abraham Lincoln blood line, were born in Mount Pleasant. The second child was stillborn, though newspapers report the child lived a few hours. This unnamed baby, great grandchild of Abraham Lincoln and James Harlan, was buried December 28, 1901, in the Harlan family plot at Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, with a blank gravestone marking the spot.
