Actor. He was remembered as an Italian stage and screen actor, who made at least 40 films in his career. He earned a law degree, practicing law in Rome before entering the theater as a tall, handsome young actor. His first Italian film was the 1941 "The Kings' Jester." After both of his parents were killed in the Fascist Italian government of World War II, he fought in the resistance movement. Besides films in Italy, he had appeared in films in France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Great Britain before coming to the United States. Beginning his career in Italy, his first film in Hollywood was "Little Women" in 1949. He is best remembered for classic films such as: "The Barefoot Contessa" and "Three Coins in the Fountain" in 1954, "Summertime" in 1955 and as Emile De Becque in "South Pacific" in 1958. His last movie was in 1985. Starting in the 1970s, he began to appear in television series such as "Hawaiian Five O," "Charlie's Angel" and "Love Boat" with his last public appearance being the television game show "Hollywood Squares". He was married for 40 years to actress Lydia Brazzi, and after her death from cancer, he married for a second time to Ilse Fischer. He had a son George Llewellyn Brady. He died from a virus.
