US Congressman. Elected to represent Michigan's 6th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1869 to 1871. He was defeated in 1870. Also served as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1856, and 1868, and Member of the Michigan State Senate for the 22nd District from 1861 to 1862.
