R&B Singer. Johnson was a member of the musical group 'The Astors.' The group was originally formed in 1960, but Johnson didn't join the group until 1967 when Richard Harris left to pursue other opportunities and after the release of their only hit, 'Candy.' Along with his brother, lead singer Curtis Johnson, the band continued only for a short time afterwards before the group disbanded for good after two other members of the group were drafted into the army. They released one song with Johnson as a new member of the group, entitled "Daddy Didn't Tell Me." The song was written by Booker T. Jones and William Bell. In 1969, along with his brother, they formed the musical group 'Brothers Unlimited', but after only two years, the band broke up in 1971.
