An elaborate marker exists for Florence Gilkey at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, Ohio [Find A Grave Memorial# 74365245] It is possible that at some point her body was moved there; it is also possible that what exists there is a cenotaph. Documentation of a move of her body from this cemetery has not been discovered.

Mr. Gilkey was married January 24, 1884, to Miss Florence Virginia Reed, of Springfield, Ohio, and they have three children. The family residence is on North Broadway.

Mr. Gilkey was married January 24, 1884, to Miss Florence Virginia Reed, and has two charming daughters, the Misses Ethel and Helen, and one son, Earl Lincoln Gilkey. Mrs. Gilkey was a daughter of a veteran soldier who gave up his life in 1865 after four years' service in the Union army, and was educated in the home, where her husband received his early training.

In January, 1881, he was married to Florence Reed, of Springfield, the daughter of John Reed, a veteran volunteer of the 37th O. V. I., who died in the field hospital on Sherman's March to the Sea. They have three children, whose grandfathers each lie in soldier's uniforms on southern battlefields.
