Mr. Gilkey was married January 24, 1884, to Miss Florence Virginia Reed, and has two charming daughters, the Misses Ethel and Helen, and one son, Earl Lincoln Gilkey. Mrs. Gilkey was a daughter of a veteran soldier who gave up his life in 1865 after four years' service in the Union army, and was educated in the home, where her husband received his early training.
