Emma was a nickname that she went by all her life. Legal name was Emily Marbury (Dent) Casey.

She was born at White Haven, the family plantation.

She ended up with a few of her famous brother-in-law's things and her descendents finally donated them to the U.S. Grant National Historic area, located at the Dent family plantation outside St. Louis, Missouri.

Included is a shaving mirror he used during the Civil War, plus a shoulder strip with 3 stars signifying him as a Lt. General.
