Actor. He had a twenty five year theatre career before sound motion pictures were developed, and jumped to films in 1927. During he 1930s he worked extensively, with noted roles in 1931's "Cimarron", 1932's "Grand Hotel" and "I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang", 1934's "The Lemon Drop Kid", and 1935's "Frisco Kid". In January 1938 he had just completed a scene of the film "Of Human Hearts" when he was struck by a heart attack and died. He was the younger brother of actor Edward McWade.
