Bobby Foehlinger came from a family of baton twirlers, his mother, Sue, being the owner of the dance studio, Sue's Stepperettes, which performs and competes globally. Bobby had won 3 national baton twirling competitions and was the University of Nebraska Cornhuker Marching Band's first male baton twirler. He was killed in a car accident when he was driving home from Kansas City, Missouri, after giving one of the many inspirational speeches he toured the country giving, to see his sister graduate.
