Murder Victim. Unknown to the world for thirty years, she was never forgotten. On May 17, 1968, the decomposing body of a young woman was found on the side of U.S. Route 25 near Georgetown, Kentucky wrapped in a heavy green tarp. For thirty years, the mystery of who she was and where she came from would drive and frustrate detectives and civilians to discover her identity. Sadly, there were no clues to who she was or who had murdered her, and for thirty years she was known only as "Tent Girl." But clues to her identity would give her a name after both a thirty year search and DNA to prove that "Tent Girl" did in fact have a name and a life taken from her. She was identified as Barbara Ann Hackmann Taylor, better known to her loved ones as "Bobbie." Bobbie did indeed have a life, she was married and had a daughter. She also had a job, working with a carnival. She had 6 siblings. After her father and her brother were swept away in a flood and her mother could not take care of all six of the children, her mother made the decision to give them up. They grew up and most of them stayed in contact with each other, but, none of them could find Bobbie. With the mystery of her identity solved the only thing left to figure out was who killed her. This however still remains a mystery, as her killer has never been brought to justice.
