PACK Bazil "Bert" Pack, age 83, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born August 21, 1921 in Streeter, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Samuel John Tilden Pack and Margaret Elizabeth Dunbar Pack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Gladys Helen "Peg" Pack, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Bert was a retired Electrician and a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of the Rhoda Ann Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Streeter, Siloam Masonic Lodge #456 in Cheshire, The Aladdin Temple Shrine and The Gallipolis Shrine Club. He was also a former York Rite Mason. He was also a retired member of the IBEW.

He is survived by 3 children, Bunny Belville of Columbus, "Sonny" Bert Pack Jr. of Pickerington, Ronnie Pack Sr. of Canal Winchester; 2 sisters, Mildred Pack Hatcher of Jumping Branch, WV, Marie Pack Lilly of Jumping Branch, WV; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the WAUGH-HALLEY-WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 810 2nd Ave., Gallipolis, with Earl Owens officiating.

Entombment will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Siloam Lodge #456, Cheshire, Ohio 45620 or to The Rhoda Ann Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 6890 Trail Bend, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. Pallbearers will be Stan Belville, Shawn Belville, Scott Johnson, Mike Pack, Alex Conrad, Ronnie Pack Jr., Nick Johnson, and Kyle Johnson.
