Used Browning automatic rifle almost too heavy to lift. Allyn attended Texas A & M, but left when his father's car dealership went under in Nogales, AZ. Worked in Mexico, Texas and New Mexico for Standard Oil. Was manager, Nogales International Airport. Hunting guide in Mexico, using ropes instead of guns to hunt deer, for Will Rogers and Hal Roach. Was working in a service station in Tempe, AZ when he met Kathryn K. whom he married in 1940. Was Chairman, Phoenix Planning Commission in 1950's-60's. Retired from New York Life Insurance Co. after 62 years of service. U.S. Navy, WWII; set record for recruiting WAVES. On many commissions. Retired in Patagonia, moved back to Phoenix, died in a car accident, New River Road. Buried next to his grandmother and parents.
