Lucilee Turner of Marks, 79, a retired school librarian, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Quitman County Hospital of heart failure.
Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, at Marks Cemetery with the Rev. Laurie V. Jones officiating. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks had charge.
Born October 10, 1922, in Marks, MS, Turner was a member of the Marks Presbyterian Church, the Mississippi Archaeological Association, the National Storyteller's Association and the Poplarville Storyteller's Guild. She also served on the Board of Directors for DePorres Health Center in Marks.
She is survived by two sisters, Edith Turner West of Jackson and Perrin Turner Croy of Johnson City, TN.
Memorials may be made to the DePorres Health Center in Marks.
