Funeral For Leon Pouquette
The many friends of Leon Pouquette in Wickenburg, as well as throughout the entire state, were saddened this week by his death which occurred Tuesday night in his home here following a long illness.
Mr. Pouquette was born in France 51 years ago, but had been a resident of Arizona for 49 years where he was engaged in the sheep business. The major portion of his business interests were located in northern part of the state, however, he made Wickenburg his home many years and leaves a host of friends here who mourn his passing.
The rosary was recited at 9 a.m. this morning in the Wickenburg Chapel and funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church here. Burial will be in the New Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles.
He is survived by his wife, Amelie; sons, Felix; daughter, Yvonne; brother, Joseph and sister, Mrs. Simon Pouquette; all of Wickenburg, a brother, Frank of Arlington, California, a sister, Mrs. B. Lacurreye of Alhambra, California; his mother, Mrs. Marie Pouquette, two brothers and two sisters, all residing in France.
