Frank Dunklee Currier
Birth: Oct. 30, 1853
Death: Nov. 25, 1921

U.S. Congressman. Born in Canaan, New Hampshire, he attended Kimball Union Academy, Doctor Hixon’s School Massachusetts, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1874 and commenced practice in Canaan, New Hampshire. He was a member of the New Hampshire State House of Representatives in 1879 and secretary of the Republican New Hampshire State committee, (1882-90) and clerk of the New Hampshire State Senate, (1883, 1885). In addition, he was again a member of the New Hampshire State Senate in 1887 and naval officer of customs for the port of Boston, Massachusetts, (1890-94). In 1901, he was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-seventh Congressman and to the five succeeding Congresses, serving until 1913. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he retired from public service. He died at age 68 in Canaan, New Hampshire. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
