Anita left Louisiana at a young age and married James B Johns of Alabama. He was a Captain in the Army. She loved the different posts they were sent to. Their youngest child was born in Paris, France. After their divorce, she ventured west. First to Arizona, then settled in California in the 1950's. She worked hard her whole life so her children would not do without like she did growing up. She had this thing about making sure everyone had a warm coat. She was a great cook and shared all her secret recipes with her daughter.
