He was born June 19, 1916, in the Stony Fork community, to General Dixon and Nannie Greene Watson. He was retired from Broyhill Furniture Company and was a member and deacon of Mount Paran Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, three sons, three sisters, four brothers, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Julia Watson Watson and a brother, Otis Watson.
Services were Wednesday at Mount Paran Baptist Church with the Reverends Harvey Presnell and Gary Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Mount Paran Church Cemetery.
Hampton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
