Musician, Composer. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he learned to play the bandoneon (a type of accordion) and was a noted composer of tangos. His compositions included "La Payanca," "Don Esteban," "Flora," "Qué Bronca," "The Prayer" and many others. During the 1920s to 1930s, he toured Spain, France and America, performing with the New York Philharmonic and the NBC Symphony.
