Cant. Robert G. Gresham, 49, camp adjutant at Camp Polk, La., and formerly with the United States Department of Internal Revenue here, died of a heart attack Monday at the Camp Polk station hospital.
Captain Gresham and his wife had been making their home in Leesville, La., since he entered active duty last year. In Dallas they lived at 3828 Hanover.
Captain Gresham had complained of feeling ill Monday morning, and went to the station hospital for an examination. It was there he was stricken. A veteran of World War I, Captain Gresham was commissioned a second lieutenant in the infantry in 1917, rose to captain and served until August, 1919. For more than a year in this war Captain Gresham had served at Camp Polk and recently was made camp adjutant on the staff of Col. J. K. Boggs, camp commander.
He is survived by his wife, and a son, First Lt. Robert G. Gresham Jr., Army Air Forces.

Capt. R.G. Gresham Funeral Services Planned Friday
Funeral services for Capt. Robert G. Gresham, 49, former deputy collector in the Internal Revenue Department and resident of Dallas for ten years, will be held at the Sparkman Brand Funeral Home, 2115 Ross, at 11 a.m. Friday.
Services will be conducted by Dr. Marshall Steel. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Captain Gresham died at Camp Polk, La., Monday of a heart attack. He was in the infantry and was post adjutant and administration officer of the camp.
A native of Gurden, Ark., he came to Texas twenty-five years ago, locating first in Denison, Grayson County, where he lived for fifteen years before moving to Dallas. He was a veteran of World War I and was a thirty-second degree Mason.
Surviving are a son, Lt. Robert G. Gresham Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Nan Melson and Mrs. Elizabeth Martin, both of Denison, and Mrs. Jack McHenry, Broken Bow, Okla., and a brother, Sam Gresham, California.
