After graduation from Bossier High School, Dolly moved to Dallas where she was employed in the accounting and admissions department of St. Marks School of Texas. Dolly left St. Marks to take a position as a claims processor for Turner & Associates Insurance where she worked for many years. She later worked as an Executive Assistant to several independent real estate appraisers in the Dallas area, including Paul Tannehill & Associates. Dolly completed her working career as a counselor with the Texas Board of Pardons & Parole.
She leaves behind several dear and life long friends in the Dallas area.
Dolly moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 2005 to be near her family. She was a proud and devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dolly enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends, spending time with her family, and play time with her two great nephews.
She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Jean Stacy; nephew Robert (Katherine) Stacy; nieces, Caroline (Brian) Nowell, Tara (Chris) Perry; great nephews, William Nowell, Preston Perry; numerous cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 12 noon to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with The Rev. Stan Whites officiating.
Interment will follow in the Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Pete Alexis, T.P. McNeill, Brian Nowell, Chris Perry, Robert Stacy and Scott Tilton
