COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for William Keith Heiskell, 91, of Cookeville, were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 1, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home.
Services will also be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Howesville Church of Christ in Kingwood, W. Va. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until time of services on Saturday at the church in W.Va.
Mr. Heiskell passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, in Smithville.
He was born March 15, 1920, in Preston County, W.Va., to the late Thomas E. Heiskell and Ruth Saisbury Heiskell.
His family includes his wife, Loama Dubree Heiskell; a son and daughter-in-law, William (Bill) Kenneth and Dee Heiskell of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a stepson, Ronald Fox of Ohio; a stepdaughter and her husband, Dewanna Fox and Kenneth Whitefield of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Shaunna and husband Jesse Kirby and Nina and husband Jon Boles; and five great-grandchildren, Clayton, Maeloree and Colton Kirby, Legacy Boles and Cannan Gibson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Martha May Heiskell; a brother, Robert Clark Heiskell; two sisters, Edna Black and Jessie Zunac; three half brothers, Mitchell, Gage and Beryl Emmerson; and three half sisters, Ruby Pyles, Beulah Myers and Bessie Guseman.
Bros. Denton Ramsey and Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
