Robert Vernon Blue, 98 of East Peoria died at 11:15 AM on Tuesday August 30, 2011 in Valparaiso, IN. He was born June 15, 1913 in Russell, Iowa to Walter L. and Mary Ethel Kells Blue. He married Laura Marie Dicks on April 29, 1939 in Centerville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one son Vernon Blue, 6 sisters and 6 brothers.

He was a carpenter foreman for over 30 years and a member for over 60 years of the Peoria Local 83 Carpenters Union. He was also a member of Bethany Missionary Church in East Peoria serving as building chairman, trustee, deacon, and Sunday School teacher.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL.
