Jennie Francek Stepanovich was the daughter of John and Katherine (Zaba) Francek, both Polish immigrants from Kamien, Poland. She had an older sister Helen and a younger brother Stanley. She was born in "the Patch" and raised in Fitchburg and attended its public schools. She enjoyed sports such as tennis and was a wonderful aunt to her only niece who she liked taking to the beach.

Jennie worked as a clerk and then manager at W.T. Grant in Fitchburg. Jennie married Anthony Stepanovich in November 1950. Unfortunately, within two years later she developed cancer, which she fought even receiving new and sometimes painful treatments developed using nuclear medicine at MIT. She died at the age of 37 at home at 229 Summer Street.

Jennie is buried in her husband's family plot in the Immaculate Conception Section of the cemetery, which is in-line with the cemetery office.
