Huntsville - Clayton Tippey, 80, of rural Huntsville, died at 6 a.m. Saturday at his home.
He was born in Kerton township, Fulton Co., Mar. 24, 1897, the son of Ellsworth and Lillie (Beaty) Tippey. He married Eva Trone Feb. 19, 1920 in Lewistown.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert of Plymouth; one daughter, Maxine Danner of Vermont; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence of Lincoln; two sisters, Verna McCody or Minneapolis, MN and Pearl Fisk of Peoria. One son, one grandson and one brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Tippey was a World War I veteran and a retired farmer.
Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria. Collins Trone will officiate with burial in Astoria Cemetery.-
