`Wife of Mausoleum Builder, Operator Passes Wednesday

Mrs. Nellie Johnson Saxton, the wife of George A. Saxton, 285 S. Dellrose Ave.. builder and operator of Old Mission Mausoleum, died Wednesday following a long illness.

A native of Pennsylvania, she was born at Le Raysvile and spent her early life there. She and Mr. Saxton were married at Le Raysville, June 23, 1906.

They lived for several years in Indianapolis, Chicago and other cities in the Midwest, and in 1914 moved to Wichita where they had lived since.

Mrs. Saxton was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and was interested in her home and community. She was a member of Eunice Sterling Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a niece, Mrs. J.E. Puap, of the home; a sister, Mrs. Anna Keeler, Wyalusing, Pa.; and a brother, Arthur F. Johnson, St Joseph, Pa.

Funeral services will be held at Gill Mortuary Friday at 4 p.m. Dr. J. Henry Hornung, of Hutchinson, former pastor of Plymouth Church here will officiate. Entombment will be in Old Mission Mausoleum.
