Social reformer and author. Along with her husband, Samuel Augustus Barnett, they founded the at Toynbee Hall in 1884, as well as the Henrietta Barnett School in the Hampstead Garden Suburb. She was awarded the CBE in 1917 and made a Dame Commander of the OBE in 1924. She and her husband were buried in St Helens Church, Hangleton, East Sussex.
