At 5 am Saturday, Isaac L. Holden, 51, of 3527 SW 39, died of acute pneumonia in Will Rogers Memorial Hospital. Holden, a veteran of World War I, is survived by his wife, Savola; his daughter, Mrs E. L. Whitaker of Norman; and two sons, Herman Elwood and Johnnie Floyd Holden of the home. A native of Evadale, Texas, Holden was born February 28, 1895. He came to Oklahoma City in 1929 from Fort Worth. In 1923 he was a sleeping sickness victim and was left semi-paralyzed. He served with the 36th Division in France during World War I. Services are pending at Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Other survivors are five brothers, John, Oscar, and Leo Holden, all of Avoca, TX, and Jess Holden of California; four sisters, Mrs Atti Crawford, Mrs Florence Clark, Mrs Etta Bishop of Stamford, TX, and Mrs William Griffith of Avoca, TX; his mother, Mrs Elizabeth Holden of Avoca; and a grandson, Lincoln Elwood Whitaker of Norman.

Services for Isaac L. Holden, 51, of 3527 Southwest 39, will be conducted in the Capitol Hill Funeral Home Monday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Holden, a veteran of World War I, died of acute pneumonia in Will Rogers Memorial Hospital Saturday.
