The many friends of J. Frank Baker, of Talbot County were shocked last Thursday when the news reached here of the death of his wife. She had double pneumonia and was sick for nearly two weeks. She is survived by her husband and two small children, one of who has scarlet fever. Mrs. Baker was the daughter of John A. Tschantre and wife, of Cambridge, and was a sister of Mr. Tschantre, who worked for Mr. J. S. Kreeger a few years ago. Rev. J. L. Ward preached the funeral sermon.
