Pastor Lyle Hanson will officiate at 2 p.m. funeral services Thursday at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Kramer, for Edward H. Schultz of Crete, who died Sunday at the age of 77. Burial will be at the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Schultz was born July 5, 1904 in Kramer to Edward and Emma (Henning) Schultz. A farmer, he resided in Kramer until 1977 when he moved to Crete.

He married the former Maudie Motley, December 29, 1924, in Glenwood, Iowa. The couple had six children.

Active in the St. John's Lutheran Church, Mr. Schultz has served as a trustee, member of the cemetery board, and the voters' assembly.

Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Sharon) Duba of Crete and Mrs. Dean (Bernadean) Strufing of Martell; three sons, Ronley Sr. of Dorchester, Arland of Boise, Idaho, and Wallace of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
