Betty Yeaman, 81, of Kiowa, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at McAlester Care Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Kiowa Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor J.P. Hackler officiating. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Born April 25, 1930, in Opp, Ala., she was the daughter of Jasper W. and Callie Victoria (Coon) McCoy. She married Joseph Yeaman on March 1, 1956, in Long Beach, Calif. She lived primarily in Florida and California and had lived the past 20 years in Kiowa. Survivors include her husband, Joe Yeaman, of Kiowa; children, Beverly Harris, Warner Robins, Ga., Clarissa Kelley, Milwaukee, Wis., Joseph Yeaman, Somis, Calif., and James Yeaman, Portland, Ore.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister, Delores Lindsey, Royston, Ga. She was preceded in death by parents and three sons, William, Michael and John Yeaman.
