YORK - Pauline M. (Yost) Shirey, of York, died at 5:39 p.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Ray B. Hinckle, who died Sept. 1957 and Gordon S. Shirey, who died Oct. 1963. Following cremation a memorial service will be 2 p.m. June 26 at the Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
Mrs. Shirey was born in Morgan County, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Rosa A. (Robinette) Yost.
She was a receptionist at York Lutheran Retirement Village, retiring in 1972 after seven years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, its over-55 club, Golden Nuggets of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Keenagers Senior Citizen Club of Christ Lutheran Church and American Association of Retired Persons 1246.
Mrs. Shirey is survived by a daughter, JoAnn E. Wilkins of Williamsburg, Va.; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; a brother, Paul O. Yost of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and a sister, Betty J. Grove of York.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Arthur D. Shotts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 37 N. Broad St., York 17403. Valetta M. Sprenkle Yorktowne Hotel employee.
