Ada Kathryn Sharrett, Forsyth, IL, formerly of Sun City, AZ, Robinson and Oblong, IL, died Saturday, December 25, 2004, in the Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL. She was 83.
Born in Sumner, IL, on August 12, 1921, she was the daughter of Lawrence Berkshire and Ella Dowell Berkshire. She married Doyle Vincent Sharrett on October 4, 1941, and he died on December 8, 1998. She was co-owner of Jade Oil Company, Robinson, IL; member of the First Christian Church; Beta Bigma Phi Social Sorority; her hobby was her rose garden.
Survivors include one son, Jerry and Kay Sharrett of Hardinville, IL; one daughter, Janice Wise and husband Bud, of Forsyth, IL; grandchildren, J.D. Sharrett and Laura Sharrett of Hardinville, Melissa and Mike Stone, Marshall, IL, Annessa and Kevin Williams, Marshall; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Matthew and Michelle Russell of Oblong and Stephanie Wise of St. Louis, MO, Rosella and Gene Lewis of Sumner, Mariam Baltzell of Sumner, Margaret Wolfe of Vincennes, IN and Carol Starkman of Titusville, FL; four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial was in the Oblong Cemetery.
