Ralph L. Richey, 72, 2910 S. Pershing Drive, died Tuesday in Ball Hospital.
Mr. Richey was a native of the Eaton area and lived in the Muncie area since childhood. He attended Muncie schools and graduated from Muncie High School. He was a member of First Brethren Church on Morrison Road and Warner Gear Sympathy Club.
Mr. Richey worked at Warner Gear Division (now Borg Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems) 40 years before retiring in 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; two sons, Earl Richey, Daleville, and Paul Richey, Clarkson, Ky.; a daughter, Doris Wimmer, Gaston; three stepsons, Guy Konkle, Indianapolis, Robert Konkle, Canyon, Texas, and Norman Lindley, Muncie; two stepdaughters, Wilma Jean Haney and Wanda Nadine Laudermilt, both of Muncie; a brother, Edwin Richey, Cambridge City; a sister, Crystal Baker, Muncie; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with Rev. Keith Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Family will receive callers 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
