The funeral of Philip Sauer was held at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the family home on Summer Street, where he had lead a busy, useful, quiet life these fifty years or more, working hard and being employed in a useful occupation, adding in his own way to the prosperity and the progress of the community. Many friends and acquaintances paid the last honors to the good old man, who was one of the pioneers of the city and county, having come here with his parents in 1835.
