Francis Robert Cook, age 89 of Cedar Fort, Utah, died Sept. 22, 2011 at his home of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 14, 1922 in Cedar Fort, to Edward and Nellie Avilda Chamberlain Cook. He married Donna Vae Roberts, Sept. 1, 1944 and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Sept. 28, 1944.

Francis retired from Tooele Army Depot as an Ammunition Equipment Specialist. He served in the Bishopric and for many years was Sunday School Superintendent.

He enjoyed farming and catching and training wild horses. He was a long-time member of the Cedar Valley Riders' Club and had been Rodeo Chairman.

Survived by his wife, Donna, of Cedar Fort; two sons and two daughters: Stan (Elois) Cook, of Lehi, Gary (Vonda) Cook, Jolene (Wain) Soper and Teresa Cook, all of Cedar Fort; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by nine siblings and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Valley LDS Chapel. Friends and family may call at the church Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and also Monday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Cedar Fort Cemetery.
