Selinda "Linda" Bovee married James Norris on the 7th of December 1865, at the Rathbun or Rathburn House, in Grand Rapids, MI. She and her new husband were both residence of Ionia, Michigan at the time. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Greenville, Montcalm, MI.
Some years later they went west, to Rhoda, Charles Mix, SD, where they raised their family. Later in life the family moved to Maricopa County, Arizona, where James died and was buried at the Glendale Memorial Gardens, in Maricopa Co., AZ, in 1904. One of their sons, Frank Leslie Norris, was also buried there.
Family oral history says that Selinda moved to California and died there, either in Palmdale or Los Angeles. Her burial place is not known.
