Rites Held Today For Carl J. Walker
Funeral services were held at 3 :30 o'clock this afternoon at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, for Carl J. Walker, 53, of the Stanford road, who died unexpectedly at 8:15 o'clock Sunday night at his home, after having suffered a heart attack. He was a well-known carpenter and farmer. Born Oct. 12, 1902, in Boyle county, he had lived here all his life and was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Sims Walker; two daughters, Miss Joan Walker, Lexington, and Mrs. Robert S. Moore, Danville; a son, Edward S; Walker, Lexington; four brothers, John W. Walker, Danville, and James Walker, Henry Walker and Ray Walker, all of Junction City; a half-brother. A- W. Walker, Danville; seven sisters, Mrs. L. Burka, Danville; Mrs. Marvin Bowles, Moreland, Miss Alice Walker, Mrs. Gilbert Anglade and Mrs. John Scott, all of Louisville; Mrs. George Eisenback, Jeffersontown, and Mrs. Frances Carpenter, Cincinnati; two half-sisters, Mrs Edith Newhall and Mrs. Anne Ijams, both of Stafford, Arizona, and two grandchildren. Dr.
Elroy Lamb, pastor of the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, conducted the rites. Burial was in Bellevue cemetery. Stith funeral home had charge of arrangements.

Special to The Courier-Journal Danville, Ky., Jan. 2. -- Carl J. Walker, 53, a farmer and carpenter, died unexpectedly at 8:15 p.m. yesterday at his home on Stanford Road.Among survivors are two sisters, Miss Alice Walker and Mrs. Gilbert Anglade, both of Louisville, and two half sisters, Mrs. John Scott, Louisville, and Mrs. George Eisenbach, Jeffersontown.
