DEATH NOTICE: The Manti Messenger, Friday 28 January 1910:
J. D. T McAllister Called.
J. D. T. McAllister died at St. George Friday, where he had gone to spend the winter. He has been a prominent man in this city for many years being president of the Temple over ten years.

He was born in Delaware, February 19, 1827. He joined the church in 1844, came to Utah in 1851, served to missions in England and one in the eastern states, was president of the St. George temple a number of years before coming to Manti.

The funeral was held in St. George Tuesday. He has had five wives and 31 children, many of whom survive him.
