Oscar Tilden Ash, 93, formerly of Potts Camp, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. He was born May 12, 1917, in Potts Camp to John Ike Ash Sr. and Donnie Morgan Ash. He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Chewalla Primitive Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Holly Springs Funeral Home with Elder Jerry Wise, Elder Mark Quarles, Elder Grady Camp and Elder Gary Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Chewalla Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Potts Camp.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Nolen Ash of Memphis; three sons, Jimmy Ash (Gayle) of Waterford, Donnal Ash (Opha) of Potts Camp and Kenneth Ash (Coralee) of Oxford; four stepchildren, Jimmy Tapp of Nesbit, Michael Tapp of Olive Branch, Bill Tapp of Ripley and Linda Anderson of Williams, Iowa; one brother, J.M. Ash Sr. of Potts Camp; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rea Ash, and a granddaughter, Kay Ash.
