Rev. Paul Edwin Jaynes was the son of Charles Reed and Mary Louise Jaynes. He was the husband of Doris "Maude" Ledgerwood (Read) Jaynes. He was a Supply Pastor in the Genesee (now Western New York) Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church/The Methodist Church. He entered the Conference in 1938 and in 1953 withdrew from the ministry to become special regional representative for the Foreign Policy Association.
