John Emil Elenz was the son of Johan Michael Elenz and Mary Freehauf-Elenz. John Emil Elenz was an elevated road conductor at one time. He married twice, Annie M. Schumaus (often misstaken for Lohams) and Elizabeth Margaret Neubauer. His death records state that he is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Cook Co. IL. John is the father of 6 children all together. 1. Magdalen 23 June 1909 and died on 25 Oct 1909 Margaret C. 23 June 1909, George John b. 2 May 1911, John Frank b. 23 Mar 1916. These children were John's and Annie's. And his children with Elizabeth are: Magdalen L. 16 May 1921 and Bernard V. 8 June 1922. There are other Elenz family members in St. Joseph Cemetery and possibly in the same family plot as John Michael Elenz and Mary Freihauf/Friehof-Elenz.
