Helen Marie Lohmeier, 97, of Cape Girardeau died at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 5, 1913, in Cape Girardeau to Henry and Frances Scherf Hanf. She married Herman Lohmeier on June 12, 1949. He preceded her in death June 5, 1993.

Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Junior Aid of Cape Girardeau. She worked at Shoe Factory International.

She is survived by three sons, Robert, David and James Lohmeier, all of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Alberta Story and Frances Moss, both of Texas, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Paul Hanf and a sister, Juanita Hill.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home, 829 North West End Blvd, in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Burgell officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
