Miss Eugenia Bankhead was the sister of Movie and Stage Actress, Tallulah Bankhead. She is buried next to her sister in St. Paul's Cemetery. Both Eugenia and her sister Tallulah were great friends of Louisa Carpenter and her husband. They owned the Philadelphia Phillies Ball Team. Mrs Carpenter was a DuPont. Eugenia lived with the Carpenter's for a period of time and Tallulah would also spend time there as well. The Carpenter's farm was located not far from St. Paul's Church.

Eugenia was married to Morton Hoyt three times. She married Wilfred Lawson Butt in 1929. She later married Howard B. Lee and Edward Ennis White before her final marriage to William D. Sprouse in 1940. All of her marriages were of a short duration. Her son, William Bankhead Sprouse, later known as William Bankhead, was an adopted child.
