Sally L. Gemmet died Nov. 12 at a local hospital. She was 62
Mrs. Gemmet was born Jan. 14, 1936 in Glendale and resided in Elkton, Ore. She had been a former resident of El Dorado County for 35 years.
She grew up in El Dorado County and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1954. She loved medicine and worked as a Pink Lady in Marshall Hospital's emergency room and as a Snowline Hospice volunteer. She had been a longtime member of the Diamond Springs Community Church before moving to Elkton, Ore. She loved interior decorating and gardening. She volunteered and worked alongside her husband, building and remodeling churches and Christian camps as a member of Servants on Wheels Ever Ready.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Ray Gemmet of Elkton, Ore., son Jeffrey Gemmet of Cottage Grove, Ore., daughters Vicki Nevins of Antelope and Gail Cornett of Modesto, brother James Imes of Placerville, sisters Sharon Slack Morris and Joyce Imes of Cameron Park and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Placer Heights Baptist Church in Placerville. Interment will be private."
