Carol Jean Bloedorn, 61, 2906 - 39th St. Two Rivers, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Carol was born March 4, 1950, in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Hubert and Evalyne F. (Buboltz) Bloedorn. She attended St. John - St. James Lutheran School in Reedsville for seven years and St. John's Lutheran School in Two Rivers for one year. She graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1968. Carol worked part time at Sentry Foods during her high school years and after graduating from high school, started working for the Bank of Two Rivers (White Bank) where she worked for 38 years, retiring on Nov. 7, 2006. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers and a former member of the church choir; she was a member of the Two Rivers Kiwanis Club for 21 years, serving as the club's treasurer for the past 20; she also enjoyed traveling and bowling, and was an avid Packer, Brewer, and Badgers fan. Carol loved to volunteer her time for numerous places and was a very helpful, pleasing person who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Wally Klein, Sun City Grand, Ariz.; and Alice and Carl Schneider, Plymouth; nieces and nephews include Samantha (Ken) Wetenkamp, Seth (Jenny) Schneider, Mark (Judy) Wendt, Julie Wendt, Dale (Lynne) Wendt, Dinah (David) Johnson, Roy (Dawn) Wendt, Scott Wendt, Bruce Wendt, Wayne (Debbie) Wendt, Janice Chervenka, Gary Wendt and special friend, Heidi, Gene Wendt, and June (Chris) Jandrin. She is also survived by a special friend, Nancy Richter; and two special cousins, Lois Jaeger and Linda Herzog; other cousins, relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Bloedorn, and a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Harry Wendt.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 17th & East Park St. Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
