Poet, Singer, Theatre Teacher, Writer and Songwriter. He was a Chilean poet, writer and singer, a referent in Latin-American protest music from the 1960s and 1970s. Among his songs, he composed and sang classics such as "El Cigarrito," "La Luna siempre es muy Linda," "El Derecho de Vivir en Paz" and "El Hombre es un Creador." On September 16, 1973, he was murdered by the Fascists during Chilean Dictatorship.
